Ur Favourite Scary Movie is a study in fear and the imagination; a celebration of horror movies; and a question about what it means to live with uncertainty and make friends with the unknown.
Ur Favourite Scary Movie can be accessed either as an audio experience, or as a film which blends the audio experience with on screen moving image. There is also a captioned version of the film available. Please choose your own adventure, depending on preference and access needs.

Audio Guide
The work is a gentle foray into the above, and is essentially a 37 minute track of spoken text and original sound design and music. It has been made using production methods used in cinema and horror movies, such as foley and binaural sound. As such, even though the experience is relatively gentle and slow moving, please expect jump scares, loud noises and unexpected sounds which can come from both or either ears, which occasionally could be disorienting. There are also some moments of silence throughout. Below are some time stamps to help guide you.

Video Guide
The visual component of the experience is an abstract montage of moving images which include images from old black and white horror movies, black and white 16mm home movies, moving geometric images and other abstract images. There are moments in the film where the screen is completely black and moments when it is completely white. Throughout the film there are moments of on-screen static, and VHS-style ‘glitches’. There are gentle flashes of imagery, and flashing images throughout. The film is mostly in black and white, apart from two sections in colour, in the middle and towards the end.
